Engineering Graduate in Industrial Design and Product Development
Spanish, Basque, English
During the degree, you will learn to handle the tools to allow you to represent your ideas graphically and you will build your designs in our workshops and laboratories.
Similarly, through projects in collaboration with local companies, you will acquire the necessary knowledge about their operation, industrial manufacturing, the behaviour and characteristics of materials, as well as everything related to product engineering. You will also work on aspects such as the appearance of the product, marketing, ergonomics, usability, sustainability and innovation.
Subjects in the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development
You will be able to solve mathematical problems that may arise in engineering.
You will acquire knowledge about programming, operating systems and databases applied to engineering.
You will learn to apply the laws of mechanics, thermodynamics and electromagnetism to solve problems.
Chemistry is the basis of all materials, so it is important to know their structure before starting to study them in depth.
The knowledge of the type of existing companies, their characteristics and operation are key in the day to day of an engineering.
You will identify the necessary elements to create and interpret drawings and learn how to use digital tools to do so.
You will have the ability to make innovative proposals in terms of: aesthetics, form, color, textures.
COMPUTER ASSISTED DESIGN
You will learn how to handle the tools to express your ideas graphically with the computer.
DESIGN OF MECHANICAL PRODUCTS
You will acquire the necessary skills to design and develop products.
You will learn the basic fundamentals of production and manufacturing systems and processes.
You will learn the fundamentals of aesthetics and morphology to develop sustainable and innovative products.
RESISTANCE OF MATERIALS
You will be able to perform the necessary calculations so that the designed products meet the customer's specifications.
You will acquire the necessary knowledge to design useful and effective products that make people's lives easier.
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
You will develop the skills necessary for the marketing and promotion of industrial products.
BOTTLING AND PACKAGING
You will learn everything related to materials, aesthetics, morphology and usability of packaging.
You will learn the principles and programs of Graphic Design in order to be able to realize your innovative projects.
You will learn everything related to environmental aspects, the environmental impact of products, how to minimize it...
You will work on aspects related to design for all.
DESIGNING AND MANAGING PROJECTS
You will be able to design and manage engineering projects in industrial design from a sustainable, creative and innovative perspective.
You will be able to make reports with relevant information and using an appropriate graphic language that will allow you to make innovative improvement proposals.
You will carry out real projects during the degree
In each year you will take part in real projects together with the teachers and professionals from reference companies in the sector. You will thus be able to apply the knowledge acquired by developing creative and innovative products and services to improve people's lives.
