Facilities
For the development of the Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation, the Faculty of Business Studies at Mondragon University currently has three campuses:
- Bidasoa Campus (in Irun, Palmera-Montero Building)
- Oñati Campus (building since 2010 and headquarters of MUE)
- Bilbao Campus (Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria).
In addition to the campuses located in the Basque Autonomous Community, the LEINN Degree has undergone a process of expansion through the creation of entrepreneurship laboratories that have formed the Mondragon Team Academy network, which are as follows:
- Madrid Laboratory, with TEAMLABS since 2012
- Barcelona Laboratory, with TEAMLABS since 2013
- Valencia Laboratory, with FLORIDA UNIVERSITARIA since 2013
- Malaga Laboratory, with TEAMLABS since 2022.
- Shanghai Laboratory (International), with TRAVELING-TZBZ since 2016
- Seoul Laboratory (South Korea), with HBM since 2020.
Teaching spaces in the Basque Autonomous Community laboratories
This section specifically details the spaces and resources available on the campuses in Oñati, Irun, and Bilbao, which are at the service of the entire LEINN network and development.
Bidasoa Campus
The Irun laboratory, on the Bidasoa Campus, is located in the building known as “Palmera Montero” and occupies a 5,240 m² site, of which 2,560 m² correspond to the building itself. It consists of a ground floor and two upper floors and is surrounded by land used for gardens and a public square. The total usable area of the building is 3,641.33 m², divided into: ground floor 754.84 m², first floor 2,134.88 m², and second floor 751.61 m².
The building is newly constructed and was inaugurated in December 2016.
In general, the building has 9 classrooms equipped with blackboards, projectors, screens, and a mobile multimedia system. In addition, there are other small classrooms that are used for splitting up groups and enable the implementation of more active teaching techniques.
It also has specific open-access spaces suitable for teamwork among students, as well as rooms available by reservation with computer equipment; there are also open classrooms for use by students.
Specifically, the Campus has 10 work rooms with computers for group work, which are used by students upon reservation.
The entire Campus has Wi-Fi wireless network coverage.
The library service point offers a space for study and individual work, a small collection of documents that includes the basic bibliography recommended by professors for each of the subjects, as well as other specialized documents. There is also an interlibrary loan service that provides originals on loan or reproductions of documents that are not in the library.
Oñate Campus
The Oñati Campus of the Faculty of Business Studies moved to a new building in September 2010, located in the town of Oñati, with a surface area of 8,328.64 m2, distributed over 1,448 m2 of teaching classrooms (all of which have projectors and a power and data outlet per student, although there is Wi-Fi coverage throughout the building), 240 m2 of computer rooms, and 253 m2 of study rooms.
The estimated area for the development and coordination of academic staff functions totals 1,640 m² (teaching and research staff, administrative and service staff, coordination offices, meeting rooms, and archives).
We have a 735 m² library that includes a consultation and reading area, a quiet area, a multimedia classroom, and work rooms, in addition to spaces dedicated to the library's administrators.
Access to the catalog of this service and other sources of information can be obtained through the library's website. Access from any computer inside or outside the faculty is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The rest of the building brings together, in addition to the common areas (facilities, stairs, corridors, lobby, toilets, changing rooms, first aid), a reprographics service, a cafeteria/restaurant of approximately 300 m², 2 offices, and a 300 m² lecture hall with capacity for 250 people, which can be divided into two smaller rooms, one of which can be used as a multidisciplinary space.
The building has no architectural barriers due to its recent construction and compliance with current regulations in this regard.
Given the proximity of a cogeneration plant, the water used to cool the plant's engines has been used to heat the. The building has also been equipped with a “double skin” that prevents heat from entering, both measures resulting in energy savings.
Students have access to all of the facilities mentioned above during extended hours from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Bilbao Campus
The Bilbao Campus (BBF building) is located in the heart of the city and consists of a ground floor and two upper floors. The total usable area of the building is 5,038.81 m2 divided into: ground floor 1,614.07 m², first floor 1,614.75 m², and second floor 1,809.99 m².
In general, the Campus (BBF building) has 9 classrooms equipped with whiteboards, projectors, screens, and a mobile multimedia system. In addition, there are other small classrooms that are used for splitting up groups and enable the implementation of more active teaching techniques.
There are also specific open-access spaces suitable for student teamwork, as well as rooms available for reservation with computer equipment; there are also open classrooms for student use.

The Bilbao Campus (Asfabrik building) is located on the island of Zorrozaurre and consists of a ground floor and three upper floors. The total usable area of the building is 8,800 m2, divided into the ground floor (2,350 m2), first floor (2,150 m2), second floor (2,150 m2), and third floor (2,150 m2).

On all three campuses, the use of classrooms, rooms, and computer equipment for teaching is assigned at the beginning of the academic year. Students are free to use these resources at their discretion, depending on their availability. There are meeting rooms, spaces for teleconferencing, event venues, coworking spaces, and project development spaces available to LEINN students. For more specialized rooms, such as the multimedia room, which are managed by the library service, a request and prior reservation are required.
Teaching spaces in laboratories outside the Basque Autonomous Community
In all the laboratories listed below, the library of both centers has the basic bibliography recommended by the professors for each of the subjects. There is also an interlibrary loan service that provides originals on loan or reproductions of documents that are not in the library.
1.Madrid
The TeamLabs Madrid laboratory is the main learning space for the Degree in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation (LEINN) at Mondragon Unibertsitatea. It is located in the heart of the city, at Plaza de San Martín, 1 / Calle de las Hileras, 18 (Madrid, Sol-Callao area), in a historic building that was once the headquarters of Monte de Piedad, designed by architects José María Aguilar and Fernando Arbós y Tremanti.
The building, with a total area of 6,000 m², has been adapted as a radical learning laboratory, designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation. It is a multifunctional and flexible environment that hosts both LEINN degree teaching activities and events, business meetings, and open innovation projects.
The main spaces include:
- Sala Hipatia: the laboratory's central space, with 280 m² on the ground floor and two additional balconies of 170 m² and 200 m², allowing for a total capacity of up to 500 people. It is used for presentations, project launches, events, and plenary sessions.
- Laia Room: a 140 m² vaulted room with a capacity for 80 to 100 people, ideal for workshops and team dynamics.
- Auditorium: a 125 m² space with a capacity for 98 people, equipped for conferences, forums, and public presentations.
- Helena Room: 74 m² multipurpose classroom with capacity for 54 people, commonly used for training sessions, meetings, and project presentations.
- Meeting rooms: two rooms designed for teamwork, one large (30 m², capacity for 20 people) and one small (17 m², capacity for 8 people), both equipped with audiovisual equipment.
The building has advanced connectivity (10 GB fibre, Wi-Fi network configured per event), common areas, rest areas and technical and logistical services. Its operating hours are from 8:00 a.m. to midnight, and it has permanent technical and coordination support for the development of activities.
This physical ecosystem reflects LEINN's learning philosophy and constitutes a unique environment in Spain for experimentation, innovation and collaborative entrepreneurship.
2. Barcelona
Barcelona Circular (BAC) is a new innovation hub promoted through a public-private partnership between Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, the Faculty of Business Studies at Mondragon University and TeamLabs. It was created with the aim of positioning Barcelona at Barcelona at the forefront of the circular economy and industrial digital transformation, as part of the Barcelona Impulsa 2035 municipal strategy.
Located in a renovated former industrial warehouse in the Sant Andreu district (Carrer Ciutat d'Asunción, 16), the laboratory will be inaugurated on 30 October 2025. With more than 3,400 m² spread over three floors, it will become the city's second specialised economic activity hub.
The building has been refurbished according to criteria of sustainability and circularity, using recycled materials, energy-efficient systems and bioclimatic design solutions.
The BAC acts as a laboratory for entrepreneurship and innovation in the circular economy, promoting the digital transformation of the industrial fabric and accompanying the transition towards more sustainable production models with a positive impact on the region. In doing so, it seeks to attract talent, generate skilled employment and consolidate an ecosystem of collaboration between industry, start-ups, universities and public administration.
The space is structured around four strategic lines of activity:
- Entrepreneurship and new business models: coworking, incubation and acceleration programmes for more than 180 young entrepreneurs and circular economy projects.
- Business competitiveness and innovation: prototyping, digital manufacturing and new materials and processes development initiatives through the FabØ workshop and the Innova Indústria Besòs programme.
- Practical training programmes linked to Mondragon University and the LEINN degree, focused on project-based learning and the development of new circular professions.
- Connection with the community: events, boot camps and co-creation laboratories with companies from the Eix Besòs, sector clusters, social economy entities and open innovation projects.
Barcelona Circular will be a benchmark in the sustainable and innovative transformation of the Catalan productive fabric, integrating the LEINN learning methodology into an experimental ecosystem where the university, companies and the city collaborate to address the challenges of Industry 4.0 and the circular economy.
3. Malaga
The Malaga laboratory, linked to the Degree in Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (LEINN) at Mondragon University, is located in the Andalusia Technology Park (Malaga Tech Park), in the Promálaga Excelencia building (Calle Steve Jobs, 2). This environment offers a direct connection to the city's ecosystem of innovation and technology companies, integrating university education, entrepreneurship and business development.
The laboratory has 3,500 m² distributed over two floors, combining workspaces, open areas, common areas and outdoor areas. Its design promotes collaboration, teamwork and experimentation, in line with LEINN's radical learning pedagogical model.
Its main spaces include:
- Room 7, with a surface area of 140 m², intended to house companies from the Andalusian technology ecosystem, to promote synergies and incubation and acceleration initiatives.
- Room 9, measuring 90 m², designed as a flexible and collaborative workspace for innovation teams and projects.
- Auditorium, with a capacity for 150 people, equipped with adjustable tables and chairs.

- Room T, with a capacity for 14 people, equipped with a projector and 75-inch screen, intended for collaborative work sessions and #Together community meetings.

- Cafeteria and outdoor terrace, with capacity for 100 people, equipped with furniture, five microwaves, cupboards and two refrigerators. It is a common space for the entrepreneurial community and for informal or networking events.
- Indoor parking, with capacity for 50 vehicles, available upon reservation.
4. Valencia
The Valencia laboratory is located on Calle Convento Carmelitas (Valencia) and has a usable area of 1,097 m², spread over two floors dedicated to entrepreneurship, co-working, educational innovation and the expansion of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The space belongs to Florida Grup Educatiu, an organisation that promotes this laboratory as part of its commitment to entrepreneurial education and pedagogical innovation.
The laboratory has several functional areas: a showroom, a co-working space, four meeting rooms, a maker space, an area under development for audiovisual use, a dining room and learning rooms.
It has wireless network coverage throughout its facilities, printing and concierge services, ensuring a functional environment adapted to the needs of collaborative learning and teamwork.
The laboratory was inaugurated in 2021 as a strategic commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation, in response to the need for a larger and more versatile space for the development of training activities and entrepreneurial projects.
5. Shanghai
The Shanghai laboratory is located within the entrepreneurial space that Xing Wei College has in the WeWork space in the city. It is a laboratory that serves a dual purpose:
- It houses the LEINN laboratory in the city.
- It is a space where LEINN teams from other laboratories spend their third year as part of their learning journey to ASIA.
This space has a coworking area for LEINN team companies, training rooms, meeting rooms and event rooms.
