The students of the Master’s Degree in Biomedical Technologies of Mondragon Unibertsitatea visited Barcelona on 13-15 May, with the aim of learning about the latest developments in the field of Biomedicine. To do this, they visited UVic-UCC (Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya), the Leitat Technology Centre, the Computer Vision Center (CVC), and the Vall D’Hebron Hospital. This trip is part of the Learning Journeys programme, through which the students of this Master’s degree take an academic trip every semester. In the month of February, this group of students made another trip of this kind to Madrid.

With the aim of acquiring knowledge, they took a course on the analysis of microbiome data at the Universitat de Vic and visited the Leitat Technology Centre, where they were able to observe the first 3D printing incubator. The group then visited the facilities of the Computer Vision Centre (CVC) where they did a course on Deep Learning, in addition to seeing and testing different artificial vision technologies. Finally, at the Vall D’Hebron Hospital, they were able to learn, among other subjects, about their automated laboratory and the surgical block.
