The conference will be held on 9 March, at 6:30 PM, at Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa (Calle Loramendi 4, Arrasate) and is promoted by the associations Piper Txuriak and Elkarhezitzen and the Biteri Hall of Residence of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. The conference is part of the open training initiative on new masculinities, driving said agents for the second consecutive year.

After the satisfactory collaborative experience of the previous course, Ritxar will return to accompany us with his presentations on the path of awareness and reflection on various topics. Always from a feminist standpoint and open to men and women, but with an outlook on the masculine aspects, with the aim of achieving a positive construction of new masculinities.

The presentation of 9 March will focus on the impact of the machismo on men’s mental health. As Ritxar Bacete himself, author of the book “Nuevos hombres buenos” (“New Good Men”), explains, “we must remember that most of men who destroy are also destroyed themselves. The most serious aspect, however, is that this damage has an impact on the environment as a shock wave, like when throwing a stone into a lake. On a social level, our acts are intercommunicated, so that destructive attitudes have an impact on society as a whole in different forms and dimensions.”

Let us take this opportunity to listen to emotions and reflect together. The promoters would like to invite everyone to this event, which will take place in the multifunctional hall of the Biteri Hall of Residence on 9 March, from 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
