Sign-up period open for registering as an FLL-Mondragon volunteer, under the organisation of Mondragon Unibertsitatea and Innobasque
The tournament to be held on 8 February in Mondragon will be official and will qualify the winning team for the national tournament
Mondragon Unibertsitatea and Innobasque are organising the FLL Euskadi-MONDRAGON tournament, with the aim of helping young people between 6 and 16 years of age to develop their scientific and technological vocation. The event to be held on 8 February in Mondragon has already opened its sign-up process for volunteers who wish to participate actively in the organisation.
First Lego League is an international training programme that currently brings together around 500,000 young people from 90 countries. FLL Euskadi-MONDRAGON is organised within this framework, based on the Iturripe campus, at the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. The event aims to promote STEAM education by promoting scientific and technological skills among students in the Basque Country.
In the tournament, volunteers must play the following roles:
- Judges: They assess the work of the teams and decide the prizes
- Referees: They supervise the robot game
- Floaters: They follow up the teams during the tournament to make sure that they arrive on time and have fun throughout the day
- Timekeeper & Scorekeeper: They control board game software and game time
- PIT/Field/Queue Managers: They control tournament spaces to ensure that the teams enjoy the entire process
- Junior Scientists: They congratulate the work and achievements of the FLL Junior teams
- Junior Floaters: They follow up the FLL Junior teams during the tournament to make sure that they arrive on time and have fun throughout the day
