ATTETION! FROM THE 2019-2020 ACADEMIC YEAR ONWARDS, THIS MASTER WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR NEW STUDENTS.
Bilingualism is not a new subject in our schools. For this reason, this Masters degree puts together all the experience that Mondragon University, through its Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences, has accumulated in three decades of collaboration with schools. In addition, the mobility of persons has become a global social phenomenon that has caused great changes within society and consequently within the school community.
An example of this is that schools are increasingly multicultural and multilingual, and this requires the educational community to be able to understand and manage this new situation. And it is this requirement, specifically, that the Masters degree seeks to address. Our aim is to train professionals to be able to give a comprehensive response to the multicultural and multilingual nature of society.
To do this, starting from a theoretical baseline, we study policies and offer training to design projects for schools. Lastly, we go into the classrooms to seek out the views and reflections of the teachers who have to implement intervention innovations To make these reflections, and in the design of new strategies and innovative proposals, we count on the participation of teachers from the Faculty of Humanities and Education, as well as Ignasi Vila (University of Girona) and Elizabeth Coelho (University of Toronto).
Aimed at all people who work professionally in the area of education in general, as well as to all those who are interested in multicultural matters or wish to deepen their understanding of the above.
