For the purpose of contributing to the improvement and transformation of education

For Master’s Theses, we plan innovative projects based on real needs in specific educational contexts, using as our point of departure the individual interests of our students. The Thesis is obligatory for both the professional and research tracks, and consists of 14 ECTS credits in either case.

Theses are completed individually with the support of tutors from both the university and the education center.

Examples of Theses completed by Master’s students:

• Analysis of the Center Linguistic Project bearing in mind the sociolinguistic situation and profile of the student body.
• Use of the Basque language in different spaces of the center by new students.
• Study of one’s own classroom procedures to develop one’s professionalism as an English teacher.
• Comparative analysis of immersion models in Primary Education in Wales and in the Basque Country.
• Faculty knowledge, representations, and practices in relation to new students.
• Family impressions of the socio-economic, linguistic and cultural diversity of the student body of the center.
• Design, implementation, and evaluation of a didactic sequence.
• Use of the Basque language in multicultural contexts in free spaces.
• Impact of faculty intervention in the development of oral competence.
• Communicative strategies of the teacher to promote participation among his or her students.
