Objectives and Competences

Technology has a greater and greater presence in our lives due to the rise of the Network Society, Artificial Intelligence, and Industry 4.0. Now more than ever, the technological element needs the human component to properly interpret social phenomena. It is of critical importance to reflect on the application of technology in favor of people and likewise to anticipate upcoming changes.

Digitalization has accelerated the globalization process. We live in an interconnected and interdependent world that is changing constantly and rapidly. Companies and institutions are forced to widen their horizons and function on the international stage. For this purpose, they require more and more information about cultural, economic, and social trends as well as the knowledge of people trained in these areas who know how to manage in intercultural contexts.

The purpose of the degree in Global Digital Humanities (GDH) is to prepare students for the global and digital world, beginning with their self-knowledge and offering them the chance to design part of their own specialization track.

Our goal is to train responsible, creative, and committed professionals who can carry out a critical interpretation of reality and who also know how to adapt to a society in a continual process of transformation.
For this purpose, Mondragon University has designed a methodology based on cross-curricular skills that are common to all degrees:

  • Teamwork
  • Leadership and entrepreneurship
  • Learning to learn.
  • Critical thinking.
