The social council of the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea has decided to donate to the AMS Arrasateko Mundu Solidarioa association the revenue from the tickets of the last event of the 75th anniversary of the entity.
The 75th anniversary of the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea was celebrated last year, 2018, bringing an extensive programme of events throughout the year. The Korrontzi Dantzan spectacle, offered by the Korrontzi music group on 19 October, marked the culmination of the anniversary programme and, in turn, involved a charity fundraising event. The Social Council of the Polytechnic School has decided that the Arrasateko Mundu Solidario association will be receiving the €819.26 collected from the sale of tickets.
AMS members promote development projects in Nicaragua based on principles of justice, solidarity, and peace. The head office is located in Arrasate, and awareness work is being carried out in Debagoiena.
The main lines of work of the projects in Nicaragua include the project “Social and work training for young people with disabilities” and the youth scholarship project “Developing values, promoting training”, with the aim of influencing the evolution of the municipality of Diriamba and the development of its inhabitants.
It should be noted that several workers of the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, such as Jose Manuel Corcuera and Leire Etxeberria, collaborate in the voluntary work of the association.
