Doctoral dissertation Ane Zubizarreta Pagaldai has earned a rating of Outstanding ‘cum laude’ for her doctoral dissertation 2025·12·18
The defense of the dissertation, entitled “Digital Transformation in Basic Vocational Education and Training in the Basque Autonomous Community: An Exploration of Students’ and Teachers’ Digital Competence and Schools’ Digital Capacity,” took place on the Aretxabaleta campus. The new PhD holder earned her degree with the International designation.

The UniverCity conference, now in its fourth year, was held at Bilbao AS Fabrik and Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria (BBF). Around 60 participants had the opportunity to reflect on the design of cities that respond to people’s needs and on the impact that higher education can have in this field.
