Why?

Over the last few years, a series of changes have been taking place on a global scale, both at the organizational and business level and, in general, at the social level. We are moving towards a more dynamic, changing, uncertain, hyper-connected, globalized world, with a growing importance of technology - especially digital technology -, a more multicultural world, concerned about its impact on environmental and socio-economic sustainability. The changes are dizzying in all facets of life, both professional and personal.

Which are our Objectives?

The goal of the International Programme on Social and Organizational Transformations is to train responsible, creative, and committed professionals who can carry out a critical interpretation of reality and who also know how to adapt to a society in a continual process of transformations.

Our primary goal is to train professionals capable of managing global, digital, and organizational challenges, as well as leading companies, both in the public and private sectors. In order to do so, students will focus on one of the three main transformation areas:

  • Digital transformations: Now more than ever, the technological element needs the human component to properly interpret social phenomena. It is of critical importance to reflect on the application of technology in favor of people and likewise to anticipate upcoming changes.
  • Global  transformations: To address global challenges, organizations and institutions need to broaden their horizons and become global players. Hence, they require more and more information about international policies and cultural, economic and social trends to manage intercultural contexts.
  • Organizational transformations: These new trends have led organizations to adapt in recent years. In this more dynamic, globalized and uncertain world, people are needed to lead these organizations so that both organizations and society can achieve intelligent, sustainable and inclusive growth. Sustainable companies need to increase resource efficiency, reduce environmental impacts and improve the economic and social performance. Generating net positive impacts is the only way to deploy truly circular and sustainable industrial systems.
