The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University will offer the opportunity to visit the renovated Dorleta building on the Eskoriatza campus. The tour will take place on November 23 at 6:30 p.m. The visit, which will last one hour, is open to all residents of Eskoriatza and anyone else interested in viewing the building. Registration to participate in the tour is now open.

PROGRAM

6:30 p.m. Welcome at the entrance of the Dorleta building.

6:35 p.m. Brief presentation of the framework of the collaboration agreement between the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences and the City Council of Eskoriatza, and of the renovation process of the Dorleta building. Location: D.0.3

7:00 p.m. Visit to the building in small groups: KoLaborategia, Library, learning spaces...

7:30 p.m. Reception at the KoopCafé.

The official inauguration of the Dorleta building took place during the pandemic, on September 18, 2020, during Mondragon University’s official opening ceremony of the academic year, which was held in that building even though the public inauguration could not be held at that time. With the event on November 23, the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences wants to offer the opportunity to all residents of Eskoriatza to get to know this renowned building first-hand.


The Dorleta building, which was designed as part of the educational transformation plan promoted by the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences, has received much recognition and numerous awards due to the quality of its architectural design. For example, in 2021, it won the Spanish Biennial Award for Architecture and City Planning, the Beau Prize for Architecture. The remodeled building can be seen in the following video:
