A training experience that combines neuroscience, biotechnology and 3D manufacturing applied to the healthcare field.

The students of the Master's Degree in Biomedical Technologies at Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa have once again completed their Learning Journey in Madrid this year, an initiative that complements academic training through direct contact with leading universities and companies in the sector.
During their stay, the group visited the Complutense University of Madrid, where they delved into the fundamentals of neuroscience. There they have worked on aspects related to the acquisition and processing of electroencephalograms (EEG), as well as on the different applications of these biosignals in the biomedical field.
The tour continued at the European University of Madrid, where they had the opportunity to visit the Veterinary Hospital and the Simulated Veterinary Hospital. In addition, the students have participated in a joint challenge with Biotechnology students, focused on the design of a microfluidic device for the detection of different contaminants in water. This activity has encouraged collaborative work and the resolution of real problems from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Finally, they visited the company Serveo Salud, where they saw first-hand their 3D manufacturing laboratory and the work they carry out in collaboration with hospitals in Madrid. The visit allowed the students to get closer to real applications of biomedical engineering in the healthcare environment.
This Learning Journey reinforces the practical and applied approach of the master's degree, allowing students to connect technical knowledge with real experiences in the biomedical and healthcare sector.
