VISAS
Non-EU Students
Foreign citizens who whish to stay in Spain to pursue or continue their studies, carry ou research or training activies, unpais internships, participate in student exchanges or carry out volunteer services, must obtain the corresponding visa, which will include the inital authorization to stay in Spain.

Students from the European Union or Schengen Area
Eu or Schengen Area citizens are subject to a specific legal regime resulting from the rights recognized by the Treaties. There is no visa required.
In case where the stay exceeds 3 months, a Certificate of Registration as a citizen of the Union must be issued. You can request an appointment here
Medical Insurance
If you are from a European Union Country you must apply for the European Heath Insurance card (EHIC) in your home country.
If you are a non-EU citizen, you must obtain a private medical insurance to cover medical assistance in case of illness or accident.
In all cases, you must obtain a civil liability insurance, which covers any damage you may cause to third parties.
