Medium voltage laboratory

Medium Voltage Laboratory of Mondragon University available to companies

Mondragon Unibertsitatea offers companies this laboratory for testing power electronics systems in real conditions with the capacity to operate at Medium Voltage / High Voltage. The laboratory facilities allow testing and evaluation under real conditions the analytical and simulation studies of high power static converters at medium voltage levels, as well as testing and characterization of components or electrical machines.

IS YOUR COMPANY INTERESTED IN USING OUR EQUIPMENT AND SPACE?

If you are interested in using our equipment and facilities, you can rent the space for a period of time. Our laboratory technicians and our researchers specialised in electronics will adapt the space to your needs and will help you to carry out the tests and simulations that you need.

This laboratory has been remodelled thanks to the FASTAP project, transformer for Wind Turbines, financed by the European Union with the collaboration of Siemens Gamesa, Infineon, SGB-SMIT and Mondragon Unibertsitatea.

FASTAP objetive was to  maximase wind turbines (WTG) electric capabilities while reducing wind's leverage cost of energy. FASTAP allows to choose the optimum voltaje for a genset to operate not only in state conditions, but also in dynamic and transient events, ina very cost-effective way.
