According to Royal Decree 99/2011, the duration of studies for full-time students is four years, calculated from the date of the doctoral student's enrollment in the program until the submission (deposit) of the doctoral thesis.

In the case of part-time dedication, the studies shall have a maximum duration of seven years from the date of enrollment in the program until the submission of the doctoral thesis.
