Control of part-time student activities

  1. Control at the end of the first academic year. At the end of the first academic year the following aspects will be verified:
    • If the student has studied the appropriate training modules and has obtained a pass in the opinion of those responsible for the modules. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification.
    • Research Plan presented by the student and the proposal for non-formal Training activities provided for the successive years. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification.
  2. Control at the end of the second academic year. At the end of the second academic year the following aspects will be verified:
    • The Development of the thesis. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification.
  3. Control at the end of the third academic year. At the end of the third academic year the following aspects will be verified:
    • If the student has done a minimum of 1 Non-formal Training activity. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification.
    • The Development of the thesis. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification.
  4. Control at the end of the fourth academic year. At the end of the fourth academic year the following aspects will be verified:
    • If the student has done a minimum of 1 Non-formal Training activity. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification.
    • The Development of the thesis. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification.
  5. Control at the end of the fifth academic year. At the end of the fifth academic year the following aspects will be verified:
    • If the student has done a minimum of 1 Non-formal Training activity. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification.
    • The Development of the thesis. The Director and Tutor of the thesis, and the CAPD will be responsible for verification. As described in the Permanence Regulations, the CAPD will evaluate the candidate on an annual basis. A positive evaluation is required to continue the doctoral programme. In the event of a negative evaluation, the student will be assessed in a new six month period, and will have to submit a new Research plan and/or a new personalised Document of Activities. In the event of a new negative assessment, the student will be withdrawn from the doctoral programme.
