LEARNING BASED ON REAL PROJECTS FOR ENGINEERING IN INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS

With the Degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering you will be able to learn while doing work experience and meanwhile preparing to work as an electronic engineering professional. Throughout the four years, you will learn using the Practice Based Learning (PBL) model. With the PBL model you will undertake real projects like those that arise on a daily basis in leading companies, which will allow you to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to work in your future occupation.

Can you imagine designing and developing an innovative system to automate industrial plants?

One of the PBL projects in the past was to create an automated greenhouse. This included several practical features such as an anemometer to measure the air speed, causing the windows of the greenhouse to close as soon as it detected an excessive speed; when the sunlight was insufficient, LEDs were activated. It also had an automatic watering system.

Another PBL project brought the secrets of electronics to music by designing and manufacturing an audio amplifier.

What about having to create a small-scale model of a Formula 1 car? In this task, you would have to construct the vehicle's electronics so that it would be able to follow a specific route on its own, using sensors. It will be controlled via an interface and, being equipped with proximity sensors, must stop immediately if it detects an obstacle.

Working as a team you will have to find the solution to these and other challenges, such as designing and installing electronic devices that improve the performance of a machine or researching and innovating new products by introducing new technologies. A practice-based learning that will allow you to get to know the true nature of the company and will prepare you to be a creative, responsible and self-reliant person with the ability to work in a team.
