Beginning in March, 2024, the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University will offer a new course aimed at professionals and students in the area of audiovisuals, in conjunction with the Higher School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya, ESCAC):

Content

This 15-ECTS academic program is an advanced course with a large technical component. It is organized in five modules through which participants will address all areas related to color in audiovisuals:

Module 0: Basic theory.

Module 1: Pre-production.

Module 2: Production.

Module 3: Post-production.

Module 4: Delivery and storage.

Module 5: Personal project and tutorials.

The in-person classes of the course will be taught in Basque on the Aretxabaleta campus by expert Kepa Aranburu.

Free course

The course is free, but participants must pay a deposit of 350 euros. Upon completion of the course, that money will be returned to the same account from which the deposit was paid. For the deposit to be refunded, the participant must have completed the end-of-course project and have a proven minimum attendance of 80%.

The course was organized by the Higher School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia (ESCAC) and Mondragon University’s Bachelor’s Degree Program in Audiovisual Communication, as part of the Fast Forward by ESCAC program created with European funds from the Next Generation program.

Duration and format

The course will start on March 5, 2024, and end on June 5. Regarding the teaching format, during the week, in-person sessions will be combined with synchronous online sessions. In addition, every three weeks, on a Saturday, special practical sessions will be held on the Aretxabaleta campus.
