The 16th annual Huhezinema Basque short film festival will begin on Wednesday

The festival will be held on January 25-27 in the Aretxabaleta Culture Center. The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, in an event that will begin at 7:00 p.m. A total of 84 short films were submitted this year.

All is ready for the opening of the 16th annual Huhezinema Basque Short Film Festival. This year, the festival will take place on January 25, 26 and 27, at the Arkupe Culture Center in Aretxabaleta.

A total of 84 works have been entered in the competition, out of which 32 have advanced to the finals in different categories. The members of the Official Jury will be Andoni Imaz (journalist and Audiovisual Communication alumnus), Nagore Eceiza (film director) and Kepa Errasti (actor and screenwriter). This year, approximately 4,000 euros will be given in prizes.

The Huhezinema Film Festival is not a typical competition since, with the collaboration of the teaching staff and as part of the Organization and production of cultural events project, Mondragon University students in their 4th year of study in Audiovisual Communication are responsible for organizing it. This year, a group of 14 people will organize Huhezinema, divided into working groups in charge of programming, production and communication.
