The project can be visited in the Future Gallery of the museum, in collaboration with AIC- Automotive Intelligence Center.

New consumption trends are changing the way we travel and challenging the rail industry. Technology is making a strong entrance into our daily lives. That is why, with the participation of DBZ, the undergraduate student Nerea Murillo, the students of the Design Degree and Master's Degree of Mondragon Unibertsitatea and CAF, we have built a theoretical future full of potential, which covers challenges and explores new speculative possibilities in the development of the train of the future.

ETHOS

The smart train concept designed for the year 2100.

Ethos is a smart train that uses machine learning to deliver personalised experiences, increasing satisfaction and improving the user experience. It is proposed a mobility scheme that achieves an efficient passenger flow through the door-to-door concept.

TRENDS

Efficient passenger flow through stations and trains.

Optimum energy use.

Intelligent trains.

Personalized customer experience.

Accelerated research, development and technology deployment.

THE CONCEPT

This train has its own station, designed to suit the new mobility system that avoids transfer passengers.

HYBRID VEHICLES

Thanks to the autonomous modules, passengers are conducted to the station.

WAGONS

The modules can be placed in the wagons located on the sides. Once here, the user will find himself inside the long-distance train to be able to move wherever he needs to go.

LONG - DISTANCE TRAIN

Ethos has a magnetic levitation method, which keeps the train afloat by the action of a magnetic field.

SERVICE

The user can call his hybrid vehicle from wherever he is using his smartphone application. The modules transfer the passenger to the long-distance train. This offers a common meeting space in the central structure of the train, providing a place of social interaction.
