The Simulation Hospital of the European University of Madrid, the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and the company Medtronic were the places visited during their stay in the city.

The students of the Master’s Degree in Biomedical Technologies of the Faculty of Engineering of Mondragon Unibertsitatea travelled to Madrid for 3 days to learn about the latest innovations in the Biomedical Sector. This trip is part of the “Learning Journeys” that are organised by the Master’s Degree each semester. 

During the learning stay, they visited the Simulation Hospital of the European University of Madrid, where they were able to learn more about the technical tools used by healthcare personnel for the training of clinical procedures, such as deliveries, extraction of biological samples, and resuscitation techniques. 

Similarly, they had the opportunity to learn more about the characteristics and capabilities of Magnetoencephalography (MEG) from the Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience group of the Biomedical Technology Centre at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.  

Finally, they were able to visit the headquarters of Medtronic, a leading company worldwide in medical services and solutions. On this visit, they had the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in neurostimulation techniques, as well as the latest developments in implantable pacemakers.
