We already have a winning design for the 2026-27 school year sports hoodie!

From the Sports Service and with the help of the design department of MGEP, we have organized the design competition of the sports sweatshirt, as every year. We organize this competition in spring, taking advantage of the design students working this subject in their classes and launching them as a learning exercise.

After examining the 52 designs presented by the students, the professors of the design department of MGEP and the members of the Sports Service have solved the contest. There have been three finalists (see designs) but the winning design has been the design presented by Irati Arruti Larrañaga.

These are the explanations we have received from the design department:

The design responds very coherently and efficiently to the proposed objective. At the conceptual level, the proposal is solid: the message is immediately understood and the image adds significant symbolic value to the design. The graphic elements—especially the image of the hand and the sports scenes located inside it—suggest solidarity, support and movement, creating a coherent visual narrative.

On the other hand, the fundamentals of graphic design are well applied. The composition is balanced, the visual hierarchy is clear and the one used the relationship between formal resources is careful and consistent. Finally, the proposal is technically feasible: the design adapts well to the format of a sweatshirt, taking into account its size, location and printing.

As a result, this proposal shows a high level both conceptually and in execution, which is why we have selected it as the winner.

Congratulations to Irati and thank you all for your participation!
