Mondragon Unibertsitatea will be the face of the Gipuzkoa Food Bank's major collection campaign in November.

This afternoon, the image for the Gipuzkoa Food Bank's major collection campaign was unveiled at its warehouse in Bergara.

Mondragon Unibertsitatea is the image that will accompany this major collection, which is expected to be very successful and enable the Food Bank to at least meet the needs of families in need until May.

Belén Méndez de Vigo, President of the Gipuzkoa Food Bank, Idoia Peñacoba, Secretary General of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, and Gorka Artola, Mayor of Bergara, participated in the presentation of this campaign.

The President of the Food Bank mentioned, among other topics, the affinity between the values of the Food Bank and Mondragon Unibertsitatea in their task of transforming society into a fairer environment, one through education and the other through something as basic as ensuring that families have enough to eat.

The Secretary General of Mondragon University also mentioned that this invitation to be the face of the big November food drive is exciting for the University, as it highlights values such as solidarity and cooperation.

The Mayor corroborated the great work carried out by the Food Bank among the most needy and mentioned the importance of bringing young people closer to this type of solidarity action, in this case through Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
