HIREKIN is led by the Polytechnic School of Mondragon University and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between companies, entrepreneurs, researchers, and students in sustainable industrial and technological entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship initiatives. The center is located in Arrasate-Mondragón and has the support of several partner companies, recently joined by the ERREKA cooperative.

Thanks to this collaboration, ERREKA will address technological challenges in its business areas and encourages students with an attitude and interest in innovation and entrepreneurship to work on identifying solutions, develop and implement the proposal, and then evaluate and assess whether to move forward. All of this is focused on promoting new diversification activities, new business lines, and intrapreneurship. This collaboration aligns with the cooperative's commitment to exercising environmental responsibility and contributing to the creation of quality employment, putting people at the center.

Currently, HIREKIN's main collaborating entities are Fagor, MONDRAGON Corporación, Orbea, and Erreka. Other entities such as Saiolan, GARAIA, Gaztenpresa, Galbaian, and Isea also participate in the entrepreneurial ecosystem generated around HIREKIN.
