New course offering to promote job placement for vulnerable people in Alto Deba

Nine programs will be launched in the fall, and Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa will participate in two of them: electrical installations and warehouse work

The "Elkar Ekin Lantzen" project, led by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, in collaboration with regional stakeholders, has launched a strategy for the employment integration of vulnerable citizens. The project has been underway for several years, and the 2025-2026 strategy has now been published, both at the Gipuzkoa and regional levels.

Debagoiena's 2025-2026 Strategy

Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa participates in the Debagoiena Social and Employment Integration Network and, in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, will launch nine training programs.

The courses will cover a wide range of subjects and will begin in the fall of 2025. Registration is now open.

• Kitchen (Fundación Bastida Akadem-Sarea)
• Welding (ALE-Extensible Incorporable)
• 1 Nursery in Oñati(Academia de la Bastida-Ayuntamiento de Oñati)
• 2 Surveillance in Aretxabaleta, (ALE-Daiteke Entrar Ampliar)
• Building Maintenance (Arizmendi-Kalexka-Daiteke)
• Mountain Work (Academia Bastida - Fundación Kalexka-Sarea)
• Cleaning (Fundación Bastida Akademia Kalexka-Sarea)

Promoting Job Placement

To ensure the viability of these nine routes, the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council will contribute 85% of the total budget, and the remaining 15% will be provided by the municipalities of Alto Deba. In addition, the course objectives have also been defined: at least 75% of the students have completed the program, and 15% have secured a job contract.

In the words of Koldo Peciña, Director of Strategic Projects at the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, "Elkar Ekin Lantzen is a results-oriented project. We don't just seek training, but also a job placement process and employment. In two years, we have developed 68 professional programs in all regions and have worked in 19 sectors, employing more than 1,000 people throughout Gipuzkoa."
