The agreement will enable the incorporation of SAS® Viya® for Learners software into the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Data Analytics, providing students with access to international certifications and strengthening their practical training in leading industry technologies
The Business Faculty of Mondragon Unibertsitatea has signed a collaboration agreement with SAS, a global leader in data and artificial intelligence, with the aim of enhancing the practical training offered in the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Data Analytics (BDATA).
Thanks to this agreement, both students and faculty members of the programme will have academic access to SAS® Viya® for Learners, a powerful online platform that enables the development of real-world projects in areas such as predictive analytics, machine learning and statistical modelling.
The agreement includes the provision of licenses and teaching materials by SAS, which will be integrated into the degree courses to strengthen technical skills in data analysis and management. In this way, students will acquire knowledge that is directly applicable to the professional environment through the use of tools that are highly demanded by companies.
In this context, SAS, as a Pearson VUE Certified Test Center—an official certification body that validates technological, academic and professional knowledge and skills—will facilitate access for BDATA students to a range of official certifications under advantageous conditions, including:
SAS Certified Specialist: Base Programming Using SAS 9.4
SAS Certified Associate: Programming Fundamentals Using SAS Viya
SAS Certified Specialist: Machine Learning Using SAS Viya
SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst: Regression and Modeling
These are complemented by other international certifications that validate proficiency in the company’s tools in key areas such as artificial intelligence, modelling and data science.
The Business Faculty of Mondragon Unibertsitatea and SAS have also committed to holding regular follow-up meetings to assess the educational use of the software and the progress of the collaboration.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Business Data Analytics, taught at the Bilbao campus (Zorrozaurre), combines mathematics, statistics, computer science and big data applied to solving real business challenges.
