The Business School, through its MIK research center, is one of the 9 cooperatives that have participated in this project, through which they have received grants to carry out actions between February 2023 and February 2024. The overall objective of the project is to prepare diagnoses and balance sheets on the environmental, social and gender situation, as well as to develop methodologies and solutions for the improvement of these three areas.

The Finance team (ESG - EINF) has carried out different analyses and developed a methodology to provide companies with tools to improve ESG conditions. As a conclusion of the study carried out on the different Non-Financial Information Statements (NFI) published by the different companies of the corporation, an impact analysis and a situation analysis have been carried out, where the impact that the cooperatives have on the environment and how they publish the data in their NFI have been collected.

In addition, a methodology has been designed to help companies to carry out a strategic reflection and a materiality analysis that helps to know which issues are a priority for the organizations. Based on a database of multiple actions generated as a tool for the development of the methodology, an action plan is drawn up and implemented by the companies. Once the methodology has been applied, the companies carry out communication actions so that all their stakeholders are part of the activated project. This methodology has been applied in the Kide cooperative as a pilot test, with the aim of seeing the applicability in a real environment and in MIK where, in addition to applying the methodology, the EINF report has been prepared as a communication action.

The Development, Talent and People Management (Gender) team has collected reliable, significant and comparable data to analyze in depth the gender situation in the cooperatives that make up MONDRAGON. To this end, a questionnaire has been administered to evaluate the situation of women and men in these organizations. This questionnaire collects information on the representation of women at different levels and bodies of the cooperatives, as well as indicators related to vertical segregation, wage gaps and equality policies. Thanks to this project, the information obtained has been complemented with data obtained previously. In this way, it has been centralized in a single database, which has facilitated longitudinal studies of various kinds. On the one hand, an annual overview has been obtained of the gender situation at the cooperative, division and MONDRAGON levels as a whole. On the other hand, the evolution of gender equity over time has been analyzed. In addition, each cooperative has been provided with a customized report that includes graphs of the main indicators of the cooperative, its division and MONDRAGON, along with relevant interpretations. These reports allow each cooperative to identify its position in terms of gender equity and encourage the implementation of more appropriate measures.

In view of the good evaluation received by the projects and their applicability to improve the reality of the cooperatives, two new projects have been presented that give continuity to those already presented in MONDRAGON SUSTAINABLE II.
