Last friday, 24th February, Mondragon Unibertsitatea brought together hundreds of people at the Kursaal for its gala celebration of the University's 25th anniversary.
Mondragon Unibertsitatea blew out the candles for its 25th anniversary last Friday, 24th February at a gala event held at the Kursaal accompanied by institutions, companies and workers of the University itself.
Among the authorities present at the celebration were the president of Basque Parliament Bakartxo Tejería; the Deputy General of Gipuzkoa, Markel Olano; the Basque Govenment's Education Minister Jokin Bildarratz; The Health minister Gotzone Sagarduy; the Former President Jose Antonio Ardanza and the President of MONDRAGON Corporation, Iñigo Ucin.
The University was also supported at the event by broad representation of different political parties, academia and the business world.
A large sample of the University's workers also enjoyed the event, which included speeches by the President of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Javier Oleaga, the Reginal Minister of Education, Jokin Bildarratz and the Rector of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Vicente Atxa.
The gala was presented by Mondragon Unibertsita alumni Garazi Ayesta and through different audiovisuals we were able to listen all the rectors who passed through the University, women who have participated or are participating in different governing bodies of Mondragon Unibertsitatea over the las 25 years and also to several graduates.
In addition to these testimonies, Mikel Pagadi and Zuhaitz Gurrutxaga were present throughout the gala, adding a touch of humous and making the audience laugh, as well as the vertical dance group Harrobi.
The gala was a day to be remembered and Mondragon Unibertsitatea would like to thank everyone who came to share in this celebration.
