During the opening event, the University Rector highlighted the social and economic impact of the University on its 25 th anniversary.
Mondragon University celebrated the official opening of the 2022-2023 academic year on the Bilbao AS Fabrik campus.
This was the opening of the 25 th academic year, since the University is celebrating 25th anniversary.
The opening of the academic year was attended by President Iñigo Urkullu, who officially inaugurated the year and whose speech was preceded by speeches from Mondragon University General Secretary Idoia Peñacoba, who presented the 2021-2022 academic report, Mondragon University Higher Polytechnic School professor- researcher José María Canales, who gave an inaugural lecture on the advantages of hydrogen as an energy source, and Mondragon University Rector, Vicente Atxa, who gave the opening speech.
President of Parliament Bakartxo Tejería, Deputy General of Biscay Unai Rementería, Mayor of Bilbao Juan Mari Aburto, President of the General Assemblies of Biscay Ana Otaduy, Minister of Education Jokin Bildarratz, Minister of Health Gotzone Sagardui, Minister of Public Governance and Self-Government Olatz Garamendi, and President University Javier Oleaga also attended the event.
