Access and Admissions

Students who meet any of the following conditions contained in Royal Decree 861/2010 dated 2 July, amending Royal Decree 1393/2007 dated 29 October, may be admitted to the MBA Masters Degree in Business Management:

  1. Enrolment on a Masters course requires a degree from a Spanish university, or a degree issued by a higher education institution of a member state of the European Higher Education Area that requires the same authorization for access to a Masters degree.
  2. Likewise, graduates may enrol in accordance with educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area without qualification checks, if the university is able to prove that those show a level of training equivalent to the corresponding Spanish official university degree(s) and that in the country issuing the degree, the original qualification would be sufficient for access to postgraduate studies. Access to a degree course in this way does not imply the approval of the degree held by the applicant, or its acceptance beyond that of the particular Masters degree.
  3. Graduates with qualifications in the following areas will be admitted to the Masters degree without need for any complementary training:
    • Economic and Business Sciences
    • Engineering
    • Human Resources and Labour Relations

The remaining graduates choosing the Masters degree must take the additional training established in Module 0 of the Masters degree curriculum.

The body responsible for the admission of students is the Masters Coordination Team.  Student admissions will be based on the following criteria:

  1. Academic record of the applicant, taking into consideration the average mark obtained from qualifying subjects for the Masters degree.
  2. Curriculum vitae, together with a cover letter which highlights experience relevant to the Masters degree and the applicant's motivations for undergoing the course.
  3. Official Certificate of English (B2 - First Certificate) or, failing that, a test will be done to accredit knowledge of the language).

In all cases, a personal interview will be held with each of the candidates, in order to verify the suitability of their profile, and to extend or clarify the information provided in the Curriculum Vitae.

Each of the criteria detailed previously will be weighted according to the following percentages:

Criterion %
Academic record 45%
Curriculum Vitae 40%
Official English Certificate 15%
Total 100%

For students with special educational needs arising from disabilities, we assess the need for possible curricular adaptations, timetables, or alternative studies, analysing each of the situations on a case-by-case basis.
