Vidext, the startup founded by LEINN entrepreneurs Jon Enríquez and Beñat Arrizabalaga, has been recognized by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo in its prestigious ranking of the "100 Best Ideas of 2026", an annual selection that highlights the most innovative initiatives developed by companies and organizations across Spain

The company was awarded in the Digitalization category thanks to Vidext Visual, a solution developed in collaboration with Cocemfe that uses Artificial Intelligence to transform educational materials into accessible and inclusive audiovisual content for people with disabilities. The tool converts traditional documents into professional videos using customized avatars, editable automatic subtitles, multilingual translations, and visual and cognitive adaptations that facilitate learning for people with different needs.
This recognition marks another milestone for a company that was born in the classrooms of the Faculty of Business Studies at Mondragon Unibertsitatea and has become, in just four years, one of Spain's most promising technology startups.
From a university idea to an international company
The story of Vidext began in 2022, when Jon Enríquez and Beñat Arrizabalaga were studying the Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation (LEINN). At a time when Artificial Intelligence was beginning to transform the business landscape, they identified a common challenge faced by organizations: converting static documents and content into more engaging and effective audiovisual formats for communication and training purposes.
What initially started as a Final Degree Project soon evolved into a real business venture. With the addition of Andoni Enríquez to the founding team, they developed a platform capable of transforming documents, presentations, and corporate materials into professional videos in just a few minutes using Artificial Intelligence.
From the very beginning, the entrepreneurs focused on validating their solution in the market, working closely with companies and users to create a product that addressed real needs. This practical, value-driven approach has been one of the key factors behind the company's growth.
Growth, investment and international expansion
Since its creation, Vidext has experienced continuous growth. After participating in leading acceleration programs such as Lanzadera and Wayra, the company successfully consolidated a business model focused on large corporations, helping them automate communication, training, human resources, and sales processes through AI-powered tools.
Today, Vidext works with hundreds of national and international clients, including companies such as Iberdrola, Mapfre, Loewe, ISDIN, and Yves Rocher. Its technology enables organizations to create audiovisual content quickly, efficiently, and in multiple languages, reducing costs while improving the experience of both employees and customers.
The company's growth has also attracted the attention of national and international investors. In 2025, Vidext closed a €6 million Series A funding round led by Flashpoint, with participation from Sabadell Venture Capital, HWK, 4Founders Capital, and DraperB1. This investment has enabled the company to accelerate product development and strengthen its expansion into strategic markets such as the United Kingdom and the United States.
A journey recognized by leading business media
Vidext's evolution has not gone unnoticed by Spain's leading business and economic media outlets. Over the past months, several major publications have highlighted the company's growth and innovative capacity.
El País recently featured Vidext's journey from a LEINN Final Degree Project to an internationally operating technology company with a strong portfolio of clients. Cinco Días reported on the company's €6 million funding round and international expansion plans, while El Economista analyzed its growth trajectory and positioning in strategic markets such as the United Kingdom and the United States.
Being included among El Mundo's "100 Best Ideas of 2026" represents another important endorsement of a journey built on innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and the continuous pursuit of solutions that create real value for organizations and society.
Innovation with social impact
Beyond its business growth, this recognition highlights technology's ability to generate a positive social impact.
Through Vidext Visual, the company has demonstrated how Artificial Intelligence can contribute to creating more accessible and inclusive learning environments, helping thousands of people with different abilities and learning needs gain access to knowledge.
This approach reflects a vision of innovation focused not only on efficiency and digital transformation but also on creating opportunities and improving people's lives.
An example of LEINN's entrepreneurial spirit
The journey of Jon Enríquez and Beñat Arrizabalaga embodies the principles that define the LEINN degree: learning by doing, working on real challenges, developing projects with impact, and transforming ideas into initiatives capable of generating economic and social value.
Four years after presenting their first proposal in the classrooms of the Faculty of Business Studies at Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Vidext continues to grow and establish itself as a benchmark in the application of Artificial Intelligence to business environments. Their journey demonstrates how entrepreneurship, innovation, and action-based learning can become powerful drivers of transformation with global impact.
