Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria and Bilbao AS Fabrik will host the fourth UniverCity conference, an initiative that analyzes the relationship between urban ecosystems and higher education. This year’s conference will take place on December 11 and 12 under the title “Future Studies in the UniverCity: collective experimentation to expand possibilities.”
The main objectives of the conference are to reflect on the design of cities that respond to people’s needs and to determine the role that universities and communities should play in social, economic and technological transitions in this work.
This year various international experts and agents will participate in the conference. In addition, participants will learn about community experiences in Bilbao and will participate in prototying exercises.
The fourth conference
The first day will begin at Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria and then continue in Bilbao La Vieja with an immersion exercise in which community experiences will be analyzed.
The next day, December 12, the conference will take place at Bilbao AS Fabrik with a program structured around three main themes.
First, it will begin with the need to rethink the future in times of systemic crisis; next, collective experimentation about the future will be proposed; and finally, it will focus on future studies and higher education.
Registration for the conference is now available at this link.
