Registration is now open for the course entitled Keys to the Mondragon Cooperative Experience, run by Mondragon University’s LANKI Institute of Co-operative Research. As in previous years, this third year of the course will be offered online, in two languages: Spanish or English. The course is especially aimed at international students. This third year of the course will begin on February 3 and end on March 10, 2026. The visit to Arrasate will take place on March 23 to 27, 2026. The promoters of the course intend to offer two groups simultaneously, one in English and one in Spanish.
With this course, participants will have the opportunity to learn about one of the most cutting-edge cooperative ecosystems in the world: the Mondragon Cooperative Experience, a socio-business project that brings together more than 70,000 people in 81 cooperatives, a university and 12 R&D spaces.
The course is aimed at students, teaching staff, research staff and international cooperative members interested in the Mondragon Cooperative Experience. Overall, the program is aimed at all those interested in research on cooperativism and workers in the field of social economics.
The course will have a total of two scholarships funded within the framework of the UNESCO Chair on the Social and Solidarity Economy, of which Mondragon University is a member.
Program
The course has two components: a 75-hour online course and a one-week stay in Arrasate-Mondragon. The online course will work on concepts that are key to understanding the Mondragon Experience, such as the cooperative concept, the historical evolution of the Mondragon Experience and intercooperation. The aim of the stay is for participants to become familiar with Mondragon’s cooperatives first-hand and deepen their knowledge of this socio-business project. The stay is optional and participants must have completed the online course.
