The partners of SERVRROL presented a solution for the intelligent design and set-up of roll forming machines.

Mondragon University and Fagor Arrasate did attend the 18th month meeting of SERVROLL project which took place on the 30th and the 31st of January at the premises of AR RACKING in Tudela (Spain). This meeting represents an important milestone of the project as an industrial solution for the intelligent design and set-up of roll forming machines was presented there.

This new solution is based on the monitoring of the roll forming stands and the use of a remote set-up assistant on a mobile device which will guide the operator to optimally adjust the roll former. The new 4.0 era is now closer than ever in the roll forming world and the prove of the concept will be done in the next 12 months. To do so, industrial profiles will be produced by AR Racking in Tudela and the impact of the new technical solution will be evaluated.

All the members of the consortium - Mondragon University, dataM Sheet Metal Solutions GmbH, Fagor Arrasate and AR Racking - were present at this meeting to set the next steps of this promising European project, the outcome of which will be the creation of new products in the near future.
