The students of the 4th year of the Degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the Mondragon and Bilbao campuses were those who attended the session.
The students of the 4th year in Mechatronics Engineering at the Mondragón and Bilbao campus have received a visit from several representatives of the company Nord Lock. This is a leading company in screwing and engineering solutions that employs more than 700 people worldwide.
The NordLock technicians who came to the campus focused their presentation on the theory and practical examples of threaded joints. The students of the 4th year had already worked on the subject in different subjects previously, so completing this knowledge with the vision and practical examples of the company has been enriching. In addition, the students also had the opportunity to learn about the products first-hand and were able to carry out some practical tests with different systems for securing threaded joints.
Degree in Mechatronics Engineering
A multidisciplinary training that integrates knowledge of mechanical engineering, computer science, automation and electronics. Special features of the degree:
- Half of the places are reserved for people from Vocational Training (they can obtain the degree in 3 years) and the other half from high school (4 years of degree). Those who come from a higher degree cycle can obtain the engineering degree in 3 years while those who come from high school will have to take 4 years.
- A degree where the great majority of students opt for the dual itinerary from the 3rd year.
- It is taught on several campuses: Arrasate-Mondragon and Bilbao AS Fabrik currently. From 25/26 also in Galarreta, Hernani.
