Analysis of the performance of Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning on supply chain management: A multiple case study. This is the title of Alaitz Kortabarria's doctoral thesis, a work that has been selected as a finalist in the "Premios CEL Universidad" awards. The awards are aimed at researchers whose PhD work demonstrates the most significant contributions in the field of supply chain management, and have become the most prestigious national research award in the field of logistics. The prize-giving ceremony was held telematically on 13 January, in a very different way from the face-to-face ceremonies that have been held in Madrid in previous years.

A tribute to the academy

Alaitz Kortabarria has developed her career as a researcher at the Higher Polytechnic School, specialising in the areas of logistics, industrial management, operations management and Demand Driven MRP. The knowledge acquired by Kortabarria in collaboration with the Logistics and Production Operations Management team at Mondragon Unibertsitatea, has enabled research work to be carried out and applied and transferred to the participating companies, improving their competitiveness. The award received by Alaitz recognises the work of the researcher and the university's firm commitment to respond to the challenge of contributing to advanced industrial management.
