On February 9, 2023, the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University will host an multiplier event. The event will put the finishing touch on the European research project MyDigiCoop. Spanish Minister of Universities Joan Subirats will participate online in the multiplier event, which will be held at Bilbao AS Fabrik.

The multiplier event will focus on the international MyDigiCoop project, which was led by the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University. It will have three main objectives: first, to discuss the importance and relevance of working on the social economy and cooperativism at the university level and in other types of higher education; second, to create a space for reflection; and finally, to share current experiences in Europe.

MyDigiCoop involves the collaboration of three prestigious European universities, the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University, Lucien Blaga University of Sibiu (LBUS) in Romania, and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (HAAGA-HELIA) in Finland, as well as that of three small- and medium-sized companies with experience in the project, Senior Europa, SL (Kveloce, Spain), Gestionet Multimedia (Gestionet, Spain), and the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU, Germany). The objective of all participating organizations is to disseminate and promote the socio-cooperative mentality among students and teachers in higher education.

Among other accomplishments, the MyDigiCoop project has developed an open interactive platform to train higher education students in the empowerment of cooperative social entrepreneurship, and has also produced a guidebook that includes guidelines for working on and promoting cooperative social entrepreneurship among teachers, both by using the platform and by addressing the issue in higher education.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

The multiplier event is open to all interested parties but is aimed particularly at those interested in the dissemination and promotion of the socio-cooperative mentality among students and educators in higher education, such as teaching staff, research staff and students who wish to work on this topic at the university, as well as agents of the social economy.
