It is universally acknowledged that we are living in a fast-changing world. We are required to further acquire and develop key competencies to survive, compete and excel in this so-called globalised and digitalised world. The idea of self-growth has also been set as one of the priorities of the European Commission. Especially after the world was, and still is, hit by the global health pandemic, the Covid 19, the Union pushes the initiatives for fostering employability, developing digital skills, competencies in entrepreneurship, education and citizenship, socio-educational and personal development, as well as participation in civic and innovative processes even harder.

Responding to the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership KA2 Covid Call 2020 that focuses on Digital Education Readiness, “Personalised Digital Learning Paths to Foster Social-Cooperative Entrepreneurship” (MyDigiCoop) aims to promote social-cooperative entrepreneurship in higher education (HE) by equipping HE professionals with innovative online tools and competencies to foster social-cooperative entrepreneurship among their students.

MyDigiCoop brings together three prestigious European universities: the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences (HUHEZI) at Mondragon University- Spain, the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (ULBS)- Romania, and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science (HAAGA-HELIA)- Finland and three highly-experienced small and mid-size enterprises: Senior Europa Sociedad Limitad (K-Veloce)- Spain; Gestionet Multimedia (Gestionet)- Spain, and Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU)- Germany to socialise and foster a social-cooperative mindset among Higher Education students and educators.

The core elements of the MyDigiCoop project are compacted in two Intellectual Outputs (IOs): IO 1. Open iterative platform to equip education professionals in empowering social-cooperative entrepreneurs and IO 2. Fostering social-cooperative entrepreneurship in HE: Guidelines. IO 1 will focus on the creation of an online platform dedicated to providing the needed skills, competencies, and knowledge to facilitate the education and training of social-cooperative entrepreneurs. The platform will entail an interactive digital map, questionnaires, and personalised digital learning paths. While the main objective of IO 2 is to provide guidelines with techno-pedagogical tips based on educational innovation, active methodologies, and distance/blended learning.

The results produced from the two IOs will be disseminated and exploited through a multiplier event planned, Young Social-Entrepreneurs International Forum, and a 5-day training event that focuses on positioning in the paradigm of social entrepreneurship, mastering technical support for projects, using the techno-pedagogical tips produced in IO 2, and advancing the "companion” skills.

The first official Transnational Meeting was held on Friday, 23 April 2021. The “Kick-Off” meeting was scheduled to be hosted by ULBS in Sibiu, Romania. However, due to the travel restrictions resulting from the global pandemic, the meeting was held online via Zoom. Despite the limitations of the virtual medium, the online meeting was successful. 16 team members of the project consortium attended the meeting. The discussions resulted in solid strategies on how the project would start and produce the highest quality results. All partners of the MyDigiCoop project are delighted to have started the project and looking forward to the next stages of the project.
