The degree is aimed at all those professionals from any sector who want to expand their knowledge in management and governance of the company's data
Data analysis within a company has become a priority. Data professionals exploit their capabilities to help companies improve their results, control and mitigate the risks they assume and develop new services and products based on data. Data is a high-potential commodity, and it must be managed to exploit that value. In view of the talent needs that have arisen in recent years, the Business School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea and the DAMA Spain Association have signed a collaboration agreement for the launch of the new expert degree "Governance and Strategic Management of Data", which will be taught entirely online. The course will start in January 2024 and will be taught with the participation of academic experts and business leaders.
The signing ceremony was presided over by the Dean of the Business Faculty of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Lander Beloki, and by the President of the DAMA Spain Association, Lucía Engo.
The objective of this agreement is to train future professionals to become experts in the field of data management and governance in order to understand, design and execute a data governance strategy within organizations and to value data as a key asset for them.
This course will provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the responsibilities associated with data governance and management (e.g. Chief Data Officer, among others). In addition, both institutions will work together to promote the employability and employability of students who have completed the expert degree "Governance and Strategic Data Management. At the end of the course, and after successfully completing it, the participants will have an expert degree from the faculty and will have the necessary knowledge to obtain the professional certification of Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
