On the occasion of International Women's Day 2026 and under the slogan proposed by the United Nations, ‘Women: rights, justice, action for all women and girls’, Mondragon Unibertsitatea joins the global demands and manifestos published by CRUE and RIUGEU. The institution thus renews its commitment to defending women's rights and promoting policies that foster a more just and equal society.

The university emphasises the importance of consolidating an academic environment free from any form of inequality, which promotes diverse leadership, encourages shared responsibility in caregiving, and acts as a benchmark in the active defence of human rights.

Mondragon Unibertsitatea is also committed to inclusivity and intersectionality, recognising that inequalities are exacerbated when they interact with factors such as origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or socioeconomic status. The institution emphasises that equality cannot be partial, but must take into account all realities and experiences.

In this regard, the University positions itself as a safe space for the most vulnerable groups, reaffirming its commitment to building a respectful, diverse and accessible academic community for all.
