This collaboration will contribute to strengthening the connection between academia and business, facilitating the effective transfer of knowledge and the incorporation of new skills into industry. The activities will focus both on the development of key technologies for the future of the industry, and on the practical training of industrial talent
Fagor Electrónica and the Faculty of Engineering of Mondragon Unibertsitatea signed an agreement with the aim of creating a stable environment of collaboration between both organizations that favors the generation of knowledge, the development of new technologies and the training of highly qualified talent. This alliance, which will have an initial validity of four years and will be intended to continue, will allow the development of joint R+D projects, strengthen university and business relations, and train future generations of professionals and research staff in key technological areas for the industry.
The programme will make it possible to set up mixed research teams made up of Fagor Electrónica professionals, research and teaching staff from Mondragon University, as well as undergraduate, master's and doctoral students. This collaboration will contribute to strengthening the connection between academia and business, facilitating the effective transfer of knowledge and the incorporation of new skills into industry.
Strategic alliance for the industry
The activities will focus on strategic technological areas for the future of Fagor Electrónica, including the design of power converters, control and modulation systems, energy storage, embedded electronics, FPGAs, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing technologies and simulation of semiconductor devices.
Industrial competitiveness
In addition to the execution of research and innovation projects, the agreement contemplates the joint design of training programs, the participation of company professionals in academic activities, the development of bachelor's and master's degree final projects, doctoral theses, internships in companies and other initiatives aimed at promoting employability and the development of young talent.
With this agreement, Fagor Electrónica and Mondragon Unibertsitatea reinforce their commitment to collaborative innovation as a driver of industrial competitiveness, contributing to the development of advanced technological solutions and the strengthening of the knowledge and innovation ecosystem of the Basque Country.
