Bizkaia is reinforcing its appeal as a destination for global talent with the third edition of B Global Talent, a programme that connects young STEM-educated professionals from around the world with local companies committed to innovation and transformation fron within

Driven by the Business Faculty of Mondragon Unibertsitatea - Mondragon Team Academy and framed within the Provincial Council of Bizkaia’s Bizkaia With The Talent strategy, the programme offers a collaboration model based on corporate intrapreneurship. Over three months, participants tackle strategic challenges set by organisations in the region.
"What surprised me most was how Basque companies are willing to listen to our ideas from day one," says participant Jean Kassudi.
International talent serving Bizkaia
The 2025 edition began with an online phase involving 40 young professionals with technical and scientific backgrounds from a wide range of countries. After this initial stage, 17 participants, from Morocco, Senegal, Kenya, Bolivia, Afghanistan, Georgia and Germany, were selected to join companies in Bizkaia in person, where they have already spent two months developing high-impact projects in international, multidisciplinary teams.
Bootcamp
The programme´s intensive Bootcamp week took place in Bilbao, combining advanced training, co-creation and deep connection with Bizkaia´s innovation ecosystem.
Opening session (Torre Bat), attended by intitutional representatives Isabel Sarrionandia-Ibarra (Provincial Council of Bizkaia), Iñigo Ochandiano (Bizkaia With The Talent) and Aitor Lizartza (Mondragon Team Academy), together with programme participants. The event highlighted the need to attract strategic talent to the region and fostered shared reflection between institutions and young professionals.
Demo Day -closed the Bootcamp, with teams presenting their project progress to peers and showcasing the impact they are generating through intrapreneurship and collaborative work.
Commitment to international talent
Twelve Basque companies committed to innovation and new business models are taking part in this edition: Agintzari, BrainCode, C2B, FUELIUN, IELLOW, Le Bigott, Leartiker, Moviltik, Titan Industrial, Walter Pack, Weetbe and Zunibal. Each has opened its doors to international talent, posing real challenges and betting on collaboration as a pathway to growth.
"The programme is helping us rethink key processes with a fresh, global perspective," notes Ander Rivero of C2B.
Real professional experience
Alongside hands-on experience in real business settings, participants complete specialised training in corporate intrapreneurship endorsed by Mondragon Unibertsitatea. Upon finishing the programme, they will receive a 40-ECTS University Extension Diploma certifying their competencies in innovation, leadership and project development in complex organisational contexts.
B Global Talent is thus consolidating its role as a strategic initiative for attracting and retaining talent in Bizkaia, aligned with the region’s competitiveness challenges and driven by a clear vision: to generate impact through diversity, collaboration and applied innovation—building solutions to global challenges from Bizkaia.
