Mondragon Team Academy (MTA), the entrepreneurship unit of the Faculty of Business Studies at Mondragon Unibertsitatea, has participated in the closing phase of the second edition of TEAMIT+, a European project aimed at fostering team entrepreneurship, international collaboration and the development of innovative solutions to sustainability challenges

Over the past months, young people from Spain, France, Finland and Greece have worked together to develop projects designed to generate social and environmental impact. The programme combined entrepreneurial education, international teamwork and practical learning experiences, helping participants transform ideas into solutions with real implementation potential.
The final stage of the project took place in France, where the second Bootcamp and the TEAMIT+ Final Event were held. Throughout an intensive week, participants continued developing their projects with the support of mentors and experts, focusing on areas such as prototyping, sustainable business model development and impact measurement.
Eleven teams addressing sustainability challenges
The eleven international teams developed projects tackling issues such as electronic waste management, water scarcity, circular economy, sustainable agriculture, energy recovery, food insecurity and industrial waste valorisation.
Each project demonstrated the ability of young people to transform real-world challenges into innovative solutions capable of generating environmental, social and economic impact.
Recognising the most promising initiatives
The Final Event brought together participants, coaches, project partners and representatives from the European entrepreneurship ecosystem. Teams presented their projects to an international jury, showcasing the outcomes of months of collaboration and learning.
The winning teams were:
- BiziWaste, an initiative that transforms discarded wine-production filters into sustainable paper products.
- Drasi, a project addressing food insecurity through the redistribution of surplus food.
- NERO, a technological solution designed to reduce water consumption in hotels through smart monitoring systems and gamification.
The winning teams will receive six months of specialised coaching support to continue developing their projects and move closer to implementation.
