Last week, five researchers from the Advanced Materials Forming Processes research group at Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa participated in the IDDRG 2026 (International Deep Drawing Research Group) international congress, held in Mumbai (India), one of the world's leading meetings in the field of sheet metal forming.

During the congress, the team presented a total of three research papers that included the latest advances developed in their line of research related to advanced manufacturing and the transformation of materials. These contributions made it possible to share knowledge with experts from all over the world and to strengthen the international presence of Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa in this scientific-technological field.

In addition to the research activity, the representation of Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa participated in the Executive Committee of IDDRG as a representative entity at the state level within this international community. He also played a prominent role in the scientific organization of the congress, serving as chair in the plenary conference "Machine Learning and High-Throughput Testing for Sheet Metal Plasticity and Failure", given by Professor Dirk Mohr, and in the mini-symposium "S9 - Novel Tooling".

The participants in the congress were Nagore Otegi, Unai Ibarretxe Lopez, Javier Trinidad, Joseba Mendiguren and Eneko Sáenz de Argandoña.

The next edition of IDDRG will be held in Barcelona and will be organised by Eurecat, an opportunity for the research and business community in the sector to continue sharing knowledge and technological advances.
