The MODITRANS project, Modelling and Diagnosis of Transformers, is funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union "Next GenerationEU"/PRTR". Reference: CPP2021-008580

 

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

  1. New transformer designs for public/private distribution and photovoltaic applications.
  2. New sensors enabling on-line determination of the dielectric oil quality.
  3. New system designs to minimise transformer switch-on current.
  4. Development of a methodology for the determination of the transformer health index..

Researchers from the Signal Theory and Communications Group and the Electrical Energy Group of Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa are participating in this project, and their main activities in the project are as follows:

  1. Investigation of transformer switch-on current minimisation systems (PT4)
  2. Development of the transformer health index (PT5).
