The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University seeks to hire a building maintenance technician. The deadline to submit CVs is February 2, 2024.
Profile
- Academic training: Building Maintenance Technician.
- Work experience, effective communication, problem-solving, and time management skills will be a plus.
- Spoken and written communication in Basque and Spanish.
- Technical knowledge of electrical systems, office automation, autocad, 5S training and occupational hazards.
- Vehicle registration and availability.
Tasks
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems, plumbing, security systems (intrusion and fire), landscaping, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), among others.
- Provide support and assistance to other maintenance technicians (internal and external) as required.
Minor Repairs:
- Address and fix minor issues in the infrastructure of the building, such as carpentry repairs, painting, basic plumbing, etc.
- Inventory the supplies and equipment used in the maintenance and operation of the building.
Waste Management:
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of effective ways to collect and properly dispose of waste and garbage, following local regulations.
- Maintain clean and organized waste storage areas.
Space Management:
- Assistance in the reconfiguration and layout of workspaces, including for academic events and activities.
Care and Closing of the Building:
- Opening and closing of buildings as needed.
- Check and ensure that all doors and windows are closed and secure.
Reports and Documentation:
- Document activities performed, report problems, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Document and record work orders and preventative maintenance plans.
