The program, which is aimed at new members, will begin in January and aims to give the membership process a more comprehensive approach.
The MONDRAGON Corporation’s Otalora Center and Mondragon University’s LANKI Institute of Co-operative Research have launched a training program entitled Immersion in Cooperativism. The training is aimed at new members of cooperatives and the program will begin on January 19.
Support for new members
The Immersion program is designed to provide support to new members of cooperatives. This cooperative training, which will take place over three months, will combine online content with in-person sessions.
The training is organized in three modules that examine the specific characteristics and governance of cooperatives, the role of members, and LagunAro and the MONDRAGON Group and intercooperation.
Online materials can be consulted at will and with these materials, a new member receiving training will be able to do exercises or clarify issues. In addition, three in-person sessions have been planned in which participants will be able to hear live testimonies, carry out practical experiences and ask questions.
The directors of the LANKI Institute of Co-operative Research stress that this training will make it possible to provide more comprehensive offerings during the membership process.
