Works may now be submitted for the 16th annual Huhezinema Basque Short Film Festival

The 16^th annual Huhezinema Basque Short Film Festival is now accepting submissions. Short films may be submitted through November 29, 2022. This year’s festival will have new dates: it will be held from January 25 to January 27. As always, the festival will be organized by a new group of 14 Audiovisual Communication students in their 4^th year of study and will be part of a university module led by Iban del Campo, Mondragon University instructor and artistic director of the festival.

 

This year’s festival showcases a number of changes with the aim of reaching a wider audience. As was the case last year, there will be an official section and a video clip section. On the other hand, this year, the former MU Student Section, instead of being reserved exclusively for Mondragon University students, will promote the participation of Basque film and audiovisual students from both the Basque Country and abroad. Another change will be that a panel of judges made up of retirees will present one of the prizes.

In this 16^th year of the festival, some 4,000 euros will be awarded to the winning works. The updated rules and prizes of the festival, as well as additional information, can be found on the Huhezinema website: https://huhezinema.eus/oinarriak/

 

The Huhezinema Basque Short Film Festival is organized by 4^th-year students in Audiovisual Communication at Mondragon University.
