The Department of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs provides LEINN students at Mondragon Unibertsitatea with a platform to boost the competitiveness and international projection of Basque companies

The Business Faculty of Mondragon Unibertsitatea in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs have launched a program to promote business innovation in Companies in the Basque Country. The presentation ceremony took place yesterday in Oñati and was opened by Vicente Atxa, Rector of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, and Javier Hurtado, Minister of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs.

The development of the program arises from the need to promote innovation, the creation of companies and the development of entrepreneurial teams both at European and global level. To this end, the initiative provides students with a unique platform to boost the competitiveness and international projection of Basque companies.

During the event, the panorama of the sector was also discussed and Elena Moreno, Director of Commerce of the Basque Government; Gloria Gubianas, CEO and founder of Hemper; Mikel Feijoo, CEO and founder of SKFK; Jon Etxebarria, founder of Baiba and Investor; and Iñigo Galdona, co-founder of Loco Polo, participated in the event.

Subsequently, the nine projects of students from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the LEINN (Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation) Degree selected to be promoted within the framework of the project for Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Basque Country were announced.

The initiative is supported by the Department of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Basque Government.
